Cross-state licensing
Your prescriber must be licensed in the patient's state at the time of the encounter. The Interstate Medical Licensure Compact accelerates this for MDs and DOs.
Audio-only visits
Some states allow audio-only encounters for chronic care; others require video. Default to video to be safe.
Controlled substances
Most peptides and GLP-1s are not scheduled, but adjuncts like phentermine are. DEA registration is required wherever you prescribe controlled substances.
Documentation
